Motivational strategies of students in Virtual University

چکیده

Introduction This paper discusses the role of virtual university students' motivational strategies for learning. The paper is based on a study, which is part of a larger IQ-FORM research project (WWW-site http://www.edu.helsinki.fi/iqform/). First is presented the aim and the theoretical background of IQ FORM research project and then is introduced theoretical framework for motivational strategies. In order to validate and develop the measurement tool for Motivational learning strategies of Virtual Unversity students’ the pilot study was taken in January 2001. The data of pilot study and the validation procedures of factorial structure of the measurement are presented and the effect of tutorial guidance to the students’ motivational strategies is demonstrated.
